Integrate your Xero account with Compare Your Footprint to convert organisation spend into carbon emissions automatically as invoices land.
How does it work?
Connect Xero, map chart-of-accounts categories to emission categories in Compare Your Footprint, and get an automated conversion of spend into emissions whenever Xero is updated with new billing information. Beyond spend, you can also use activity-based factors for Scope 1, 2 and 3 where you have better primary data.
How do I get started?
Step 1 — Register or log in
Create a Compare Your Footprint account or log in at app.compareyourfootprint.com.
Step 2 — Set up your organisation
Before connecting accounting software, set your reporting year end and create at least one facility (site) so imported spend has somewhere to land.
Step 3 — Connect and map categories
Authorise the connection from your organisation, map chart-of-accounts lines to emission categories once, then let new bills update your footprint automatically.
What can you measure?
Spend imports are a fast starting point across typical business categories. For higher accuracy, use activity data (kWh, litres, kilometres, and so on) from the Activity Data Guide.
